Embers Café was built around a simple idea: campground food can be better.

Too often “campground food” means frozen products shipped in from a distributor and pushed through a fryer. Fast, cheap, and forgettable.

That’s not how we do things here.

Our fries are cut fresh.
Our chicken tenders are hand-breaded.
Our salads, parfaits, and baked goods are made in our kitchen.
Our coffee is ground fresh before it’s brewed.

Every weekend our kitchen prepares dinner specials from scratch—real meals cooked by real people who care about what they’re serving.

But the food is only part of the story.

The people working in this café aren’t just staff. They’re campers too. They share the same spaces, the same fires, the same weekends that everyone else here comes to enjoy.

That matters to us.

We believe the people who cook and serve the food deserve to enjoy camp life as well. That’s why we run a late-night kitchen for a short window after the bonfire—just enough time to feed the crowd that’s still hungry, but not so long that our team misses the very experience everyone came here for.

Because a good campground should be fun for everyone—customers, staff, and owners alike.

We care about the quality of the food we serve.
We care about the people who make it.
And we care about the campers who walk up to our counter expecting something worth their time and money.

Embers Café isn’t just a place to grab food.

It’s part of the camp.

The Coffee We Chose to Serve

When we opened, we made a commitment to serve coffee that was roasted in Pennsylvania and produced by people who care deeply about their craft. For our first two seasons, we partnered with a respected Lancaster County roaster that helped us bring that vision to life.

But we’re always tasting, learning, and looking for ways to improve what we serve.

After a lot of sampling and conversations with roasters across the region, we decided to make a change and partner with Bucks County Coffee.

What stood out immediately was the flavor and the philosophy behind it. Bucks County roasts in small batches here in Pennsylvania and works closely with the farms that grow their beans, focusing on quality and consistency from the source all the way to the cup. That attention to detail is exactly what we look for in the partners we choose.

Coffee might seem like a small part of the menu, but it’s often the first thing you order in the morning and the last thing you enjoy after a meal. It deserves the same care and intention as everything else coming out of our kitchen.

So this season you’ll find a new coffee in your mug. It’s a change we made deliberately, because we believe it’s an upgrade — and because constantly improving the experience here is part of who we are.
